Biography
Gerald (“Jerry”) has been a Partner with VanderWoude & Roma since its inception in 2017. Focusing primarily on family law, Jerry represents clients in divorce, modification of custody agreements, child support enforcement and modification, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements. He routinely handles cases with issues ranging from complex division of assets between high-net-worth litigants, contentious custody disputes, and domestic abuse.
Jerry also represents clients in construction-related matters including contract review, negotiations, and construction litigation. His experience of growing up working for his father’s electrical contracting company and, later, running his own general contracting company, gives him an unmatched and valuable insight when representing his clients. Additionally, he has extensive experience in representing clients in real estate transactions, drafting wills and end-of-life documents, as well as dealing with a number of other civil litigation matters.
Jerry looks beyond the simple outcome and approaches each case with passion, individualized attention, and a determination to get his clients a resolution that not only resolves their immediate legal issue but puts them in a position to be successful in the future.
When not representing clients, Jerry enjoys spending time with his family and his community including coaching his children in Ice Hockey, Baseball, and Softball.
